Club Welfare
Club Welfare Officers are crucial in upholding British Cycling’s high standards for the safety and well-being of vulnerable groups involved in cycling. They provide peace of mind for participants, their families, and Cycling Clubs by ensuring that everyone working with young people and vulnerable adults is appropriately vetted.
Their primary role is to promote safeguarding within the Club, collaborating with others to create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
British Cycling Complience
Our Club Welfare Officer has completed the UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children program, and all our volunteers are fully DBS checked through British Cycling.
If you're interested in volunteering with the Club, please email welfare@merseysidebmxclub.uk for more information on how to get involved.

A Young Person’s Guide to Safeguarding and Wellbeing
It’s important that you can talk to someone if you are worried or upset. This may be your parent/carer, a teacher or your Club Welfare Officer. If there isn’t someone you feel that you can talk to, you can call Childline 0800 1111 or contact them via www.childline.org.uk
