SPRING SERIES 2025

Get ready for an exciting season of BMX racing! The Spring Series 2025 at Merseyside BMX Club is the perfect opportunity for riders of all ages and abilities to gain race experience, improve their skills, and have fun on the track. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or new to BMX, this series is designed to help you prepare for upcoming regional and national races.

Race Dates & Schedule

  • Round 1 – Saturday 22nd February

  • Round 2 – Saturday 8th March (International Women’s Day Special – Half Price for Women & Girls!)

  • Round 3 – Saturday 29th March

  • Round 4 – Saturday 12th April

Race Day Schedule

  • Sign-On & Registration: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

  • Warm-Up & Gate Practice: 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM

  • Racing Starts: 12:00 PM

Race Entry, Fees & Discounts

  • Standard Entry Fee: £10 per rider

  • Women & Girls (Round 2 Only): £5 (Use code GIRLSRIDEHALF at checkout)

This is our first time using Sqorz, and we want to ensure everything runs smoothly. Entry is online only.​

This series is open to all riders, from novices to experts. If you’re new to racing, this is the perfect place to gain experience before stepping up to regional competitions.

  • Bike & safety gear available to hire (limited availability).

  • Long sleeves, long pants, gloves & a full-face helmet required.

Facilities, Track & Safety Notes

We’ll have hot food & drinks available, including:

  • Tea, Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte, Hot Chocolate, Hot Vimto

  • Soft Rubicon Drinks, Cold Cans, Water

  • Sweets, Chocolate (from 20p), Pot Noodles, Soup & Roll, Large Hot Dogs

Track & Safety Notes

  • Qualified first aiders on-site.

  • Nearest Hospital: Whiston Hospital, Warrington Road, Prescot, L35 5DR.

  • Bringing a Gazebo? Ground is tarmac, so please bring weights, not pegs.

  • Dogs are welcome, but must remain outside the velodrome area.

Who Can Race?

Prizes & Rewards

  • Cash Holeshot Prize – Win some extra cash for a perfect start!

  • Gift Prizes – Random final races will receive additional prizes.

  • Overall Series Trophies – Riders must race at least 3 out of 4 rounds to qualify.
